I WANT IT: Vivienne Westwood - Aztec Bag (Mens)

£295 from Selfridges.

Valentine: Loving You

'Loving You' by Minnie Riperton.
Gorgeous.

Bananarama - Viva

Bananarama's 'Viva' is a brilliant pop album, one of their best and a lost gem.  The album was produced by expert knob twiddler Ian Masterson and spawned two amazing singles.  The poptastic 'Love Comes' and the moodylicious (I'm just making these words up) 'Love Don't Live Here'.

Somehow, it was largely ignored by the public despite it's utter brilliance.  Here are those videos - buy it!

Go Gaga tomorrow!!!!!

'Born This Way' will be released to radio stations worldwide at 11am tomorrow, and will be available for download at 2pm (GMT - UK).  In the meantime, take a look at Lady Gaga on the cover of the new US edition of 'Vogue'.

Replay: Dannii Minogue - All I Wanna Do

'All I Wanna Do' was the first single from Dannii's third album, 'Girl'.

Dannii had reinvented herself as a blonde seductress and moved into the dance music genre.  'Girl' is a great album, originally released in 1997 and re-issued in 2009 with extra tracks.

I wonder if Dannii will release any new music this year?

Richard X

Richard X is perhaps best known for his production work on The Sugababes 'Freak Like Me'.  However in 2003, he released an amazing album titled 'Richard X Presents His X-Factor Vol. 1'.  It is amazing as you can see from these results.

Supersister - Shopping

Does anyone else remember this song?
...and this one...

Lady Gaga: Born This Way

This is the cover to the much anticipated single by Lady Gaga. 'Born This Way' gets its radio premiere on Friday and the artwork doesn't disappoint.  Gaga is pictured with strange lumps on her skin.  At a glance, it doesn't look like her - but no other current artist pushes the boundaries the way that Gaga does.  Gaga; the new Madonna?

Saint Etienne Daho

'St Etienne Daho' was the collaboration between British alternative dance act 'Saint Etienne' and French artist Étienne Daho.  The artwork was created by 'Pierre et Gilles', the French artistic duo who I've had a love affair with since the nineties.  It was a perfect marriage.  Je l'adore.

Dana Dawson

Today, I was shocked and saddened to find out that singer Dana Dawson had died from cancer last year.  Dana enjoyed some success in the UK in 1995/96 with 4 singles which were taken from her album, Black Butterfly.  This is a late tribute to her talent, but I hope you enjoy watching the below video of her biggest hit '3 Is Family'.

Same Difference

Remember 'Same Difference', the X-Factor brother and sister duo.  They have a new album out now.  Don't smirk or snarl though.  It's glittery pop and it includes a track with Alcazar called 'Karma Karma'.  Listen up!

Lady Gaga: Born This Way comes early!!!

Gaga has posted a message stating that we will get to hear 'Born This Way' on Friday.  Go on, do a little scream!  You know you want to!

Adele: Live

That voice. It never disappoints, does it?

Adele is touring everywhere this year. Check out those dates here: http://www.adele.tv/live/

Movie: Scream 4

Is anyone else really excited about Scream 4? I have loved this series of films since seeing that terrifying opening scene in the first movie.  The new film is out in April and thankfully all of the lead characters are back too (the ones that are still alive that is).
According to IMDb, the storyline is:

Sidney Prescott, now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey and Gale, who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill and her Aunt Kate. Unfortunately, Sidney's appearance also brings about the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends, and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger.

They are not giving away much, are they?

Dance Classic: T-empo - Saturday Night

This was one of my favourite dance songs in 1994.  Originally sung by Thelma Houston in 1978, this remake was massive in clubs.  I have so many fond memories of those days.

Antony Costa

Oh, what a mess! Blue member Antony Costa was caught on camera urinating at a cash machine in London.  In a bizarre way, you have to admire him for being able to do it whilst managing to get some cash out - and not getting any splashes on his shoes.

Many people have been getting in a tizzy about it, though they should really calm down.  Nobody died.  Yes, it's not hygenic and I'm grateful that it's not my local machine.   Some people have been writing that Blue should now not represent the UK at Eurovision, but that would be a massive over-reaction to what was a stupid and probably drunken episode, which I'd imagine Antony not only regrets but he's also dreadfully embarrassed about.  Let him pay a fine to clean it up and then let us all move on.

Let's focus on Blue's Eurovision entry and send them positive thoughts and good luck wishes for the 14th May.
